#perfectlove

Throughout my life I have always thought of perfect love as "agape" love - a servant love.  When you love someone, you are there for them, come alongside of them.  I used to think it was about doing things to fix their problems but now I know that doesn't work.  I have learned that to love someone is to really listen to them, and ask questions to help them figure out what the wise thing to do is.
Then this week someone shared Isaiah 40:11 with me and it really helped me see God's perfect love: "He tends his flock like a shepherd:   He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart;  he gently leads those that have young."  Visualizing Psalm 23 is another way to see God's perfect love.
I have seen God's perfect love in many ways in my life, nothing earth shattering, but just a calm love that is always with me.  Not having a full time job, and my husband starting his own business has left us feeling somewhat unsure about our finances, but I find a strength within that makes me not worry excessively.  Sure I think about it, and pray constantly that God will help me find something more permanent but somehow He makes me know that He is looking out for us.  Our bills get paid and I pick up various jobs as I prepare other seminars and speeches.  The LORD has given me the strength to move through my life without falling into anxiety attacks.  I understand that as His perfect love.
